TOILET TROUBLE???

One of the frequent calls we receive is regarding toilets: they are stopped up, flushing slowly, we have to jiggle the handle then lift it twice and hold it down for it to flush. Here are some tips to help maintain the health of the commode:

1. NEVER flush cotton swabs, cotton balls, diapers (yes this has happened), sanitary products, paper

towels or similar items.

2. Flushable wipes are NOT flushable. They do not break up like toilet paper and can clog your pipes.

3. Add about 6 drops of food coloring to the tank. If the toilet is leaking, the color will appear in the bowl

within 20-30 minutes.

4. If you have to jiggle the handle to stop the flush or hold it down through the flush, you may have worn

parts.

Remember the 3 P’s: only put pee, poop and paper into your commodes for healthy pipes.
